Liew Yoke Peng

Hi everyone,

Tonight is a memorable one - not only for me but also for my colleague, Mdm Liew Yoke Peng.

Just celebrated her retirement (which is due tomorrow).  We held a buffet in our school, SJKC Chi Ming 1.  It was a merry evening with the gathering of new, old and  x- staff.

There'll be a grand ceremony tomorrow with the whole school including students and PIBG members.  It's also her birthday tomorrow.  So, Happy Birthday in advance, Mdm Liew.

Below is the scrapping I've done specially for her...  handmade flowers, fully glittered, stamping, a vintage distressed ink tag, cuttlebug embossing and butterfly die cut, ribbons, beadwork, lace, prima daisies and patterned papers.  not to forget, photo by our KK, Mr. Han Jin Teng.

All smiles... i'm 3rd from the left.  The other two are also taken with some other colleagues.  Alas! Not all are in but I'm glad at least I could see many happy faces.

Tilda-In-Box

Hello! (Septempberries)

It's already a new month and i'm too busy to even update. A fine Sunday morn today and holiday time in Malaysia with Hari Raya Aidilfitri round the corner.

Recently, i made a sample recycleable basket from tissue boxes. The result: i like it so much that i made another one but with decorations. It's Tilda-in-Box. it has 4 faces.

Chubby Cousins

Onto my next scrapbooking Chubby Kevin and his cousin Shao Quan.  It took me a few hours to get it done. Some new pattern papers and some old ones plus some local embellishments.  Not to forget some left over buttons which i think look great... And very useful

Shenzhen 2008

Yesterday I tried out srapbooking. And the result is ... Encouraging and inspiring, don't you think so?

Bookmark

Hi!

It's been quite some time now.  I'm really busy, busy, busy with sch and home.  It's making bookmarks for my art classes this time.  And I've made two samples.  Pictures from the net. Coloured with Faber Castell water colour pencils. Embellish with glitter and stickers.  I used the Kreaxions corner punch for the fairy reading a tale bookmark. They not too complicated but just to inspire my students to be more creative.

Foam Key Chains

Good Day!

I've finally got the time to show you my latest craft -  Foam Key Chains. 

       Got the idea from my daughter, Megan, who came back from her holiday camp with a cute slipper made from foam.  Then I went on to hunt for the materials required and I managed to get them for my students of Primary 4 to 6 in their art classes in school.  My! My! They were so attracted to them that they wanted to make more than one.  Some of them even decorated their pieces with lovely stickers, flowers, beads and rhinestones.  I've came up with three designs, the apple, shirt and heart shapes which I feel that are easy for them to cut.  And the cost is definitely very low.

Just for you - Tilda of Magnolia

           I have always admired those lovely cards of Tilda stamps.  Those that I've seen are all so delicately made and beutifully finished. I 've put off a few times but at last, I made one.  I've used the distress ink to colour Tilda,  ribbons to make the roses myself and an embossed cuttlebug butterfly.  The finishing touches are from my collection of little things which my daughter named them as my "thong-thong".

     I'm going to give this card to my KL brother and his wife, as they knew I am very interested in card making esp. rubber stamping and had brought me around KL to shop for my stuff. THANKS!

I'm back with my latest addition, an enlarged business card for my sister-in-law's pet shop in Melaka Raya, Melaka.  Her son, Cedric loves it and gave me a big applause!!!

rubber stamping cards

It's me,Yen Fang

I've finally came up with three cards using rubber stamps over the past week. My daughter helped me with the colouring for the first one. Next is a shaker card.  I like the idea 'cos kids loves things that moves.

My third card is very purplish.  My mom says it's dull but I like its shades of purple and texture.  Hope you like it too and share your comments with me.

A Beginner

Hello there!
I'm a beginner in making cards and craftworks. I've always loved to see little beautiful decorative things. Once in a while I'll shop for these things to decorate my house, rearrange my furniture, make bookmarks and do some diy. Recently I've got this interest in making cards and rubber stamping. I'm rather new in this field but I'm eager to learn and hope others can share with me.
